There's a Lindt factory in Stratham, NH... they even roast the beans there. The secret is in the selection of ingredients, the care in processing, the conching and the DETAILS!! Go to their website and learn!

Lindt is utterly epic, but costs quite alot.

@david292978 Those Guylian sea shells are pretty good yeah.

@starlionblue Maybe the climate is the problem, but America is a big country, with different temperatures from north to south. I'm sure Hershey's could have whatever climate they want if they need it.
Both companies use cocoa beans from western Africa, so I don't think that's the problem.
Do American cows produce different milk from European ones? If they do then I doubt it would be hard to breed some European ones.
Hershey's is a multi-billion dollar company, you guys deserve better.

@dallama182 One thing YOU obviously neglected to say is that we don't have access to the kind of grass and climate or milk that helps give Lindt chocolates their distinctive taste. I've tried Swiss, American and Belgian chocolate and the prices say it all. You want better chocolate, you have to pay a lot more money for it. EVERYTHING in Switzerland costs a fortune: gas, food, water, lodging. It may seem like a very high standard of living but that doesn't always mean everything is better.
