My one take attempt at 'Half The Time' by Narciso Lobo (aka seeso) on my lovely new Kanile'a K1 Tenor ukulele.
My apologies for the slightly poor audio as this was recorded directly on the camera.

This version is probably a little closer to Ukulelezo's version (though she has a far, far better voice), I believe that she actually wrote the lyrics to the third verse.

Check out both their channels at :

The original of this song can be found at:

and Zoe's beautiful version at:

This song was recorded with the ukulele tuned up one semi-tone from the usual C tuning (i.e. G#, C#, F, A#).

  • love this track to john well done

  • @vinnieredutd Thanks Vinnie!

  • Nice and controlled performance John. Glad you like your big K uke...I went for the Koaloha myself but from loads of research and comments know the Kanileas are also great ukes. Gratz :)

  • @freackykit Thanks so much for your comment. Yep very pleased with the Kanile'a. Out of interest which KoAloha did you go for?

  • @johncaudrey I thought of the signature models but after some advice from the people at UU decided that my first Koa uke would be the standard Tenor - KoAloha KTM-00 Tenor :a decision I don't regret. Not knocking them but wanted to start traditionally first, as you have with the Kanile'a !

  • @freackykit Excellent choice, I know everyone raves about the Sceptre & the Pineapple Sunday and they do sound great, I'm not really a fan of the styling. Bit of a traditionalist when it comes to ukuleles!
