For Nora - This is a basic tutorial for hooping on the hands. If you find yourself getting bruises on the back of the hands, I recommend using fingerless gloves (weight-lifting gloves, biking gloves and batting gloves all work well) to provide a little cushion to the backs of the hands while your technique improves and your skin toughens up. I also recommend using Arnica lotion on the bruises to help them heal faster. Best of luck!

hi I love watching the videos , U are my hula hoop GURU, & the bird. Thank u very much for all these great tutorials...I just started learning from the internet here in South Africa.... so its a bit difficult to learn but u make it look so easy...hahahahaha....must say the hoop hurts in all the wrong places and I have beautiful bruises... I started on 26 Sept ...so far can hoop at waist in one direction only. the chest is another matter ....but oneday I hoop I can hoop to 'PERHAPS"...thanx
I love this tutorial! Hand hooping is definitely the hardest for me, I think it's because it feels so unstable to me. I set up my extra room in my apartment so I can hoop in there and now I bring my laptop in and put your tutorials on full screen and practice. I'm having serious difficulty moving the hoop from in front of me to the side and back but i guess that just takes practice. Thanks for all your help!
When moving from the front to the side, think of it like slicing a pizza. Push up and then come down just a few inches to the right (or left), then push up and move over a few inches before you come down again. This will help you keep control. And I love that I get to practice with you in your practice room. How cool!
Caroleena, I just love this one. I got lost in hand hooping out in the yard about three days ago and just didn't want to stop! It was like a whole new world and I just loved it! You know who did this to me, introduced me to the beauty of hand work? Kimo! That awesome Kimo. You rock, Caroleena! Love you to pieces.
great tutorial. I really need to thank you for these they really help a beginer like me. You break things down the only problem is you make everything look so easy :). just kidding. Your great!!! Rhonda
I like your pretty skirt Caroleeena! It's also really cute when you just get caught up in hooping and spinning, and then realize that you're making a tutorial video :) Love it! AND YOU!
