This is not the Taiwan national flag. This is the National Flag of the Republic of China.

The Taiwan Province has no provincial flag. No Chinese provinces ever had provincial flags, in fact it's something that is forbidden. Ask any mainlander and they will tell you that it is the flag of the Republic of China.

我觉得台湾人应该自己决定未来，或者说条件成熟，请公投决定未来­。无论结果如何，大陆和台湾应该成为好朋友，毕竟有那么多的历史­和几乎相同的文化。但是我觉得如果台湾和日本比台湾和大陆更近，­我不能接受；毕竟民国在大陆的失败从根本上来讲是日本造成的，这­也间接导致大陆在49年后的遭遇。看不懂简体请看英文：I agree that Taiwan people have the rights to choose their future. Moreover, I think mainland Chian and Taiwan should be friends. However, I feel uncomfortable that Taiwan goes closer to Japan than mainland of China, because it is the Japan that originally make the Republic of China failed in Mainland of China, resulting disasters in Mainland after 49.
