Mitt Romney released some of his tax returns. Was the 2012 Republican Presidential candidate concerned with reaction to his donations to the Mormon church or his incredibly low effective tax rate? Cenk Uygur breaks it down on The Young Turks.

  • @tanekki Wow that is a bold statement, now i don't like Mitt, im a Ron Paul fan, and if you new anything about the Rep candidates you would not hate them, because guess what they are not much different then the dem candidate's

  • @iGage18 Ya the gov does over spend, Mitt did nothing wrong, the gov simply spends to much, For example, in Honk Kong everyone pays 15% tax, no more, and there are very few social programs, and yet they have less homeless people then in say New York, because people work, the gov has few labor regs yet some how average income is more then that of the US. Its that the gov over spend

  • @OzoneBX So its still his money, and its still 3 million dollars, IT DOESN'T matter if it affects him, it is all about paying something called your fair share, by that i mean pay for what you use, i know for a fact Mitt is over taxed, because he sure as hell does not use 3m worth of gov services, so he should not pay for 3m of gov services. That's like going to the store to buy gum, because you have more money then the guy behind you, you have to pay for some of his. Fair?

  • @stuartacarter007 Yes, may i add, 48% of Americans don't pay tax, how ever on another not, the top 1% pay for 30% of all of Americas taxes, now that does not sound fair at all. The problem is not that people are over taxed its that the gov over spends, and not on military, the US average yearly budget is $4,000,000,000,000, they only spend 1t on military, including Iraq and afghan wars, so the rest is spent on social programs, how about they cut most of those instead

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 who cares if he needs it or not, he has not taken it from any one, he did not steal it, so as far as you should be concerned, you are wrong, he has done no wrong

  • @MyTemporaryAccount88 WRONG that idea goes on the basis that money transfers, where as what you don't realize is that there is such thing as creation of wealth.

  • @DillonDee1 Really? I was under the impression people should pay their way in life, pay their fair share, by that i mean PAY FOR WHAT THEY USE, ps the middle class, does not really use gov services, the lower class do, the lower class also are the class that pay the LEAST taxes but use the MOST gov services, the rich pay TOO MUCH TAX

  • Ok people, say what you want about Mitt Romney, i don't like his politics, how ever, he paid over SIX MILLION dollars in taxes, i don't care how much he made, he still paid SIX MILLION DOLLARS IN TAXES, He is Heavily over taxed, seriously WTF. That theft, out right theft, he doesn't use 6m worth of government services, so why the should he pay 6m? ITS NOT MORALLY right!!, there should be a tax, MAXIMUM. like say $100,000 that is fair.

  • To all those saying Romney pays his fair share, let's imagine instead of being wealthy he was obese, & the income is a pie.

Romney is a behemoth, one of the 0,6% fattest people in America, needless to say, that's very, very fat.

You're just an average Joe, you weren't fat to begin with, & the past 30 years you've been slowly loosing a few lbs, past years you lost a few extra.

Now, would you say Romney deserves more than twice as much pie as you do? Does he need that pie, or is it excessive?
