Parcel delivery services could soon be revolutionised.
City Link is one firm piloting a scheme that sees customers given a 1-hour delivery slot.
The company promises to notify customers of a time and get the goods to them within the hour.
Speaking to Motor Transport, City Link MD Stuart Godman says they will roll the service out this year.
The initiative follows a Snow Valley Report that said all delivery companies should offer more flexible services.
Research by Interactive Media Retail Group (IMRG) found 7 out of 10 consumers wanted a specific delivery time.
