It's possible the deputies are unwitting participants. If some one told me I was getting a bonus and requested I give a little bit of it to a charity fund I wouldnt be too suspicious and would gladly help, but you do make a valid point. Anyone involved that knew what to deal was should be held accountable in some way. I think they need to make an example of this and I hope this doesnt just get swept under the rug like most of the other corruption!

I agree, Law enforcement officers swear an oath to uphold laws.. not to break them. They are supposed to be setting good examples for others to follow, not be corrupt themselves.

So how come I haven't heard anything about all of the deputies that were recieving these fraudulant bonuses? Don't tell me that they're not gonna suffer any reprocussions for their part. Fire them all. All guilty parties involved anyways. I think it would be adiquit to sentence Charlie to only five years in prison followed by ten years probation pay back restitution court fees etc. Officers involved should get one year in prison followed by five years of probation, restitution,fines,etc.

yeah right a cop being held accountable for his actions. Ha' that's not gonna happen they'll use a lame gambling excuse and he'll probably get a slap on the wrist. Unlike Mckinney he's not going to get the maximum plus 50 years probation. Cops should get double sentences since they are the ones who are paid to uphold the law. I personally think he'll probably commit suicide.

Corrupt ass little system they had going at the Okaloosa county Sheriffs office.Swab their mouths for dna take their prints and put em in the cell with Bubba. They didn't cut ol' Mckinney any slack for pretty much doing the same thing why should Charlie be special? Maybe they should look under his hair for the rest of the cash.
