  • why not just glue the fabric to foam instead of adding extra seams on the ends! thats a waist of time! spray both the fab and foam it works better!

  • If you don't sew around the edge its hard to evenly trimming the excess foam and it causes problems following your seam allowance when sewing to another peace. Every one has there own way of doing things there isn't really a right or wrong way in this industry. I personal don't consider a small extra step to make things easier and the end product better a waste of time at all. Thanks for watching the video and providing advice to the viewers for another way of doing things!

  • Thanks for sharing your knowledge to us.

You have inspired me to continue work on my 1930 Chevrolet.

My question is. Were do I go to get some upholstery material.

You do a Hell of a great job.

  • @TheWicho46

I get most of my supplies from keyston bros. The online store "perfict fit" is a pretty good place as well. Glad I could help! More videos will be coming soon!

    Thanks!

  • great vid, you make it look to easy though lol. I will have to try this but i really love that diamond pleated style would this work for that two if i did a criss cross pattern

  • @kopesones

Yes it will... but the calculations are a little harder because you have to find a diamond size that fits in to you peace with out getting cut off . Your not the first one to ask about diamonds. We will try to post a video on that when we get some free time.

  • Great work, exactly the style of upholstery that I need for my 1923 Fiat :) I just bought a 1950ish sterling sewing machine for $30 (Aust.)... Tried it out tonight and it works great! Need some practice though :P
