Thank you to the lovely Michelle (meeshell384) for giving me the old description of this AU story, I really appreciate it :).
Plot:
Effy and Edward glimpse each other from across the cafeteria, and instantly something sparks between the two, young beauties. While both try to deny it- Edward for his fear of killing her, and Effy for her mere pleasure in playing hard to get- neither can ignore the growing chemistry which haunts them even when they are not near one another. When Effy finally caves in, though, and professes her love to Edward (though, I personally feel it is more infatuation than love), Edward realizes that things have gone too far and leaves her alone in the woods. James, a nomad, spies the heartbroken, scrumptious-looking girl and chooses to act upon his relentless hunger. When Effy leaves home to find Edward, whom she refuses to live without, her brother Tony takes note of her escape, and calls only to find no answer. Later on, James calls him and implies that he has Effy and that he can "still save her." Of course, though, once Tony reaches the site, Effy has already been severely injured by the blood-hungry creature. When Edward finally shows up, he is greeted by a lifeless Effy in Tony's arms.
