EDIT. Wow, 1600 views. I honestly never thought I'd get that many views for a video that took me 2 hours to make. thanks. Song's kinda annoying to me now (I had to listen to it over and over to make the video). And so people will stop asking me. YES I have a Monte Carlo. a 1995 Z34 I inherited from my mom before she died. I'm currently working on restoring it with my dad.

Other Engine odd swaps/mods featured in video: Northstar Cadillac V8 swap, RWD small block V8 (lime green, GM performance experiment), supercharged 3.4L DOHC V6 (only 1 in existence, 1:58)

Chassis: W-body (generation 1.5)

  • I have the title that says its an SS. even the owners Manuel and everything that came with the car Say 1997 Monte Carlo SS. It is a Special edition. the car was bought brand new by a family member.

  • @XxJoshxX420 Run your VIN through Compnine dot com. it will decode the entire thing, show you which options the car came with and which trim level. I can almost guarantee your VIN will decode it as an LS.

  • i have a 1997 monte carlo SS and it is an SS. I havnt seen another one built like mine though

  • @XxJoshxX420 I've been over this before. There was no SS from 1995-1999. They were LS models with the L replaced with another S and then sold to stupid people who didn't do their research. The only models were the base model LS and the true SS-equivalent, the Z34. Run your VIN through Compnine dot com if you don't believe me.
