The great ugly one is another footballer who gladly had his name plastered over a computer game because obviously footballers didn't make enough money back in the day to feed themselves and their kids. It's a hard life being an international footballer! Well when you're uglier than a hat full of arseholes I suppose it is.

Anyway some football games on the ZX Spectrum were atrocious and some were brilliant. Sadly this isn't one of those brilliant ones.

You might hear me mistakenly refer to Beardo as Shilton at some stage in the review - Shilts had his own game as well! I'll review that some other time.

  • Jimmy Hill Smokes Weed

  • His chin detaches and serves as a grinder, a little known fact about our beloved mightily chinned chap.

  • So Collie, which is better? This or Megaman's Soccer?

  • Well I think it's Megaman Soccer for the realism stakes alone. That at least vaguely plays like some sort of footballing game.

  • Best football game round them times was deff. Matchday this looks awful lol

  • LOL it's like a 30-a-side school playground game...

  • the pitch is about 1500 acres and there must be about 25 a side here, still better than pro evo though

  • there are like 100 meters from the center of the pitch to the box

  • Dude, I seriously laughed my fucking arse off watching this review! top marks!

The zombie spawning in Left4Dead pales in comparison to the spawn-a-thon of players in this game!

  • So for some reason the music is "I'm forever blowing bubbles" (West Ham) and "When The Saints Go Marching In" despite Beardo having played for neither

  • Super Soccer on the Spectrum was awful but I still paid £9 for it in 1987
