Fantastic children's song for Rosh Hashanah. I don't know who wrote it, but would like to know so I can thank him/her and give credit. The kids at my school LOVE this song!
@hmghosthost For crying out loud, this message is year old! Curse YT and their pesky word limits! We're ALL a wee bit racist, but I find the various cultures ever so fascinating! And that leads to understanding. I'm quite well traveled and have been on both sides of these misunderstandings. Happy Rosh Hashannah anyway. I'm done with you. Post as many indignant responses as you like. Go nuts! Be well.
@hmghosthost Good afternoon starshine! Take a look around the interwebs, there are a ton of sites Jew and Goy calling identifying that use the term shiksa, so I didn't post a racist comment....culturalist/ religionist maybe, not racist! I didn't coin the term, but it is in common usage. If I say, "That's my nigger!" or , "I love that nigger!" which I have used on folk of all races, it is a term of endearment, not an epithet. Language is malleable.
1: Jewish or not, you're still a racist. "Shiksa" AND "Goy/Goyim" were coined with the intent of being an insult, like "Kike" or "Spic" or "Gringo". The proper term for a non-Jew is "Gentile".
2: I could care less if she's a friend or not; you've posted a racist comment in a public forum.
3: Anything you post in a public forum IS our business. Don't want our responses? Then send your "friend" a private message.
4: New Year is 14 days before Passover - not Yom Teruah (Rosh Hashanah).
@hmghosthost One: I'm not Jewish. And there's nothing racist about the term "shiksa" You probably get your panties in a bunch over the term "Goyim!" Two: She's a close friend of mine.( Note the pun!) Three: Mind your damn business! Four: Happy New Year!
"Shiksa"? Why do you have to be such a racist? I'm appalled that so many Jews like you get offended when non-Jews demonstrate respect for Judaism and for the Almighty. Those who do not demonstrate the love of G-d are not His children - and THAT'S from the Torah.
