This is a quick video of my 85 CUCV Chevy M1008. 6.2 liter J-Series diesel. Still has all the military components with the exception of the radio antennae mount, and the officer light. Modifications include a set of Hella 550 fog lights, and 3 inch straight piping from the manifold back, side exit.

  • hey your in pa what city

  • York

  • If I were to go into the military, what branch would I have to go in to drive one of these trucks?

  • Most of these are out of service now. However, just watching the video should get you that answer. It has both Army, and National Guard markings on it, but it was built for all the armed forces. The HMMWV (Humvee) has taken over since the mid to late 90s. These are getting more and more rare, but you may still see some on stateside military bases.

  • HOw much do these cost? I want one....

  • I just sold the one you see here for $3,200. Mine wasn't perfect though. I've seen restored go for up to $6,000.

  • those trucks are badass. a buddy of mine just got one but his is all red cause after the millitary used it, a local fire department bought it and used it. but its a great truck

  • what color green is that on the front clip and cab ?

  • @oakley175 slow, they are geared with 4.88 locked rear and ~32 in tires so they can tow a lot but not very fast compared to modern standards

  • I gotta say this thing has one mean sounding exhaust on it!!! sounds like it wants to "do battle with something" lol :)

  • how much was paid for this truck?. if u dont mind me asking.

  • @fj60driver Same thing happened to my K10. Tie rod bushings, ball joints, and the roll bar. Could be any of them. Most likely the rod bushings and ball joints though.

  • It's gotta say somethin that they used chevy instead of ford.

  • chevy m1008 is pretty pathetic on the rough terrain .....even in muddy road it has problems gettin movin
