Man attacks Reggie Cervantes of Sicko @ OKC Health Care Rally

A lively debate ensued between Reggie Cervantes, a 9/11 survivor and protesters against a public health care option outside of OK Senator Jim Inhofe's office. At one point the guy in the white shirt, named Al Gerhart begins yelling at Ms. Cervantes telling her her health conditions are her problem and that she's responsible for taking care of her kids. This video just shows the absolute ignorance, selfishness, and judgment that is cast by those who believe health care is a commodity, not a right. Keep fighting Reggie. We will, in honor of you and all those who believe that the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is just that a right, that is not just for those who can afford it!

As a Canadian who has witnessed the evils of American care systems first hand, I cannot stand these people. They jump to the conclusion that universal healthcare means becoming communist. It's disgusting. When you have something so simple, so important, so HUMAN, like healthcare, HOW can we add in greed and capitalism to the mix?

If only these people were not so screwed up by capitalism to see that everyone including them would get a better deal out of socialised healthcare. If you want see healthcare from a selfish view and ignore the fact that it is morally right to help suffering people they should know that it would be way cheaper in the long run. They would get the same standard of unlimited care, pay a small increase in tax and be covered for life. We socialised health nations laugh at america out of disbelief.
