i had the pleasure of meeting a WWII vet some years ago. such a sweet, humble man. he was telling me about the last time he'd put on his dress uniform for a parade or something. just in passing, he says "...and the medals they gave me. ya know, they give you all these medals...". i said "sorry to interrupt, bob, but i don't think they just GAVE you those medals". this made him smile. thank you, gentlemen.

It is never, and never will be, forgotten.
