It appeared to be really noisy with all the screaming, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if she couldn't hear the orchestra very well through the earphones. She was particularly flat on the low notes in The Perfect Year. I also think there was alot of emotion from JB and RH with this song. I spied a bit of eye wiping by both during the song. They do have such chemistry and usually their voices are beautiful together. If she indeed had a throat infection I can see why she might have pitch trouble.

How can anyone in their right mind say that this a great performance. It was a shocking performance from ruthie with many flat notes caused by an obvious throat infection. Also don't know why ALW insists on using 'names' or pop idol/tv rejects when he has some outsatnding talent in his own west end shows. For example - another suitcase could have been perfored by Nikki Mae - currently on the national tour of Evita. Where was Jenna Lee James his current leading lady in Joseph? A DVD to miss!!!!!
