@Den9082 Yeah that makes no sense. You're not training on how deal with getting bent, you're training with avoiding it. All the skills are geared towards dealing with a problem underwater and avoiding them. Call it the equivalent of a driving class where you learn how to get a car back in control or never lose control for that matter. You're obviously not a diver or a very beginner so I am not sure why I am wasting my time.

I think the skills are POINTLESS anyway! You do not speed up real fast and hit a wall when you are taking driving classes do you? It would be "very nice" to be prepared and to know how it would feel to have jaws, hands, and backs broken IN CASE you have a car accident? Why do we have to do it (get almost drowned) while learning to scuba dive then? This is a way TOO DUMB!
-
Well, those skills are no stupid. They're preparing you for things that might happen in a foreign and potentially dangerous environment. Scuba diving is not for all. However your instructor should have been patient and not scare you away.

same happened with me. i had bad exp after doing the stupid POINTLESS skills on the course. made me scared. i mean, when you loose your mask, first thing youd do is panic and inhale water! and die! well maybe not but you wouldnt be faffing around like this! we did this in the sea 12m down. no mask either. opening your eyes, all blurry and then thinking MUST NOT BREATH IN THRU NOSE all the time....bah its bloody scarey sh*t

horrible but basic. what if this happens in a depth of 15m and you're not able to do this properly?
