Decided to start sketching something. Kinda felt in the mood to do a kind of public place, like a market or something.

What you see here is about 1 hour 15 minutes worth of sketching sped up to be only 4 and a half minutes long.

This is only part 1 of the progress of this picture. There will be others following this one as I complete it. I didn't want to do a 15 minute long single video, if only because I don't know how long this picture is really going to take, and long videos are harder to watch when it's sped up this fast as it is.

Enjoy and keep watch for updates.

  • Awesome!! What did you use to mark the vanishing points off of the edge of the canvas?

  • @whoisneef It's a point on an actively visible path. You can make one with the pen tool, and keep the path selected in the paths window.

  • Anyone wondering this is boards of Canada. Sooo sick.

  • Awesome~

  • I am amazed by how you manage so much complexity in your drawings. I really love your art pieces and your videos.

  • I love the music on this video. Amazing. and your art perspectives never ever disappoint.

  • Hold shift for straight lines. I've been working with photoshop for 8 years and never knew that. Thank you so much!

  • keep doing the good work ^^

  • Whoa that thing at the very end gave me a lil' fright, mate :D

  • @xDaNN3h

To make a straight line between two points you make the point, hold down shift, and with that button down, tap where you want the next point to be.

  • Hot damn. I use the same technique for the vanishing points and my perspective always ends up being wonky anyway. I draw out a grid before actually putting objects in there, though; would it help if I skipped that step?
