Oh my god, not another person talking about the 2012 apocalypse. Listen, as soon as we reach 2013, everyone who was wrong about the end of the world will just find a new date for the world to end, and it will just follow the same cycle. People thought the world was going to end in 2000. Did that happen? no.

WRONG, to produce the same amount of light candles produce greenhouse gases than energy efficient light bulbs, no one in Toronto had as much light from candles as they did from regular lighting. Energy use in Toronto was down almost 10% during earth hour and that saved much more greenhouse gases than normal. Also it brought awareness to something that threatens the planet and all of us.

hey treehuggers!more pollution comes from candles and torches than lights!just turn off all your lights.etc and leave us all alone if u don't know what you are talking about!greenpeace says farming should be stopped because it creates greenhouse gases!i'd be more worried that there will be no more fish to eat from the oceans in 40 years!a worldwide carbon tax on everyone will give gov'ts more control of the masses-thats what its really all about!think about it ok?too many people must die for u!

Everyone is saying how we could do better, but really this was the first time, next year more people will know about it,and maybe we will do better! This was to raise awareness and get families together too! Heck I had an awesome time with my family! So just look on the bright side!

Yes they should, absolutely. I'm also in 36!
Cookiesncream789: Thanks for the comment. Glad you filled me in on that. I'm in 36! I heard they were going to turn off the building lights but I didn't go outside to check. Management should be congratulated.
