Strange Object Hovering Over Niagara Falls - Canada Day 2011

Camera - Canon Powershot 35X-IS
Shooting mode - Sports/action mode

Could this blue light be from a light beam from Clifton Hill area? If so, why was it stationary for a long time and then move upwards towards the end of the fireworks. If anyone else was at the fireworks during Canada Day, please check your pictures...you may have captured something :-)

Ever hear of camera lens "flare?" It's the refraction of light inside the glass of the lens and it's common when shooting bright points of light like FIREWORKS!

Well this is the first time that I seen that blue object. I live in the falls and usually everynight or every other night I see this object but its usually straight up and down ward with flashing lights, red, light blue, I think that there is a bit of green in there and white and they all flash up and down. There small in the sky at night but another night my bf and I were looking out the window and spotted a wayy bigger one, we look, then we look again then its small hmm very strange indeed.

When I was watching the fireworks over here in: Nova Scotia, I was looking out for UFOs, because, usually UFOs come appear during these times, but I couldn't see any.
