From donating food and toys for the needy to donating blood, from concerts for the elderly to cleaning up beaches, from games of soccer with refugees to gardening at aged care homes ... just some of the numerous activities arranged by schools, shuls, youth movements, university students and more than 30 communal organisations marking Melbourne's first ever Mitzvah Day last Sunday, and launching a global day of social action which saw tens of thousands of Jews across the world doing good deeds.
