"Love Song" - BIG BANG (Acoustic)

Thanks for watching. After almost 2 years of no music recording, I've decided to get back on track.

I've never worked so hard, wrote so many different versions for only 1 song. This is I think the 8th and final version. The idea started about 3 months ago.

Inspiration - Although the title and structure comes from Big Bang's Love Song, there's hardly any resemblance left from the original. The song is more of a mix of 2NE1's Lonely and Ugly.

Lyrics - I didn't want to sing in Korean. It sounds awful coming out of my mouth. I also didn't want to just translate the song. So I studied the original hangul lyrics and romanization to make sure my words would fit, but also would make sense. Of course some personal stuff was used here and there. But guys, remember this is not a translation, but an interpretation.

Recording - 16 takes it took me to record... I was so sore at the end. It was because of many technical difficulties and also.. invading roommates. I set up the lighting myself and also the 3 camera's. I used a letus35 for one camera (old school). Although it looks like I had a cameraman, I didn't. It was a solo project from the start to finish.

Postproduction - I've created a total of 8 different versions in Logic Pro from the basic track I recorded. One had a violin, one had drums and there's also a version with only piano. Wasn't too happy with them, they were just too much. I figured I should stick to the basics and go minimal instruments. But harmonizing was very difficult too. After many many experiments, I deleted all the instruments and version 8 this version was born. Video editing was done in Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects
