I assist in the training of Law Enforcement and Security. And I can tell you that this was a totally justified use of deadly force.

The person in the vehicle had already shown that he had reckless disregard for the safety of the community. He DID back up and sideswipe one of the officers. The other officer was standing in front of the vehicle, and saw the perp trying to shift into drive. He had to shoot in order to stop the threat.

He needed to be stopped. Had this chase gone on another 10 seconds, innocent civilians (who deserve to live) very well could have been killed. He was flying around like a raging bull, ever tried to pin one of those down?

These officers should have never gotten out of their cars until they had the guy pinned in with their cars. Pin the guy in the right way, everybody lives. This guy probably was a selfish lowlife but to suggest he deserved to be killed because of it is just ignorant. 9 times out of 10 the people that come in here and holler out kill somebody is too much of a coward to ever stand to post and serve this country.

@ZegmaarErik It may or may not have been the officer's intention to "shoot them dead" but that's beside the point. This selfish lowlife needed to be stopped. There was obviously no limit as to how far he would go to escape. I'd much rather he be dead than someone's child in that neighborhood get run over and killed. And another thing, don't disrespect our men in uniform by belittling "the police school." You might thank them one day for being aggressive if your life is ever on the line.
