  • for a season opener, this is very good. How many musicians are in the band? Sounds very good compared to what we had back in the day. 1983, and '84, we had about 150-160 in the band.

  • @Str8667 The "fact that it is collegiate" means nothing. High School bands have way more incentive to look and sound good because they are competitive. Sadly for college it is not the same. Also considering that the color guard instructor shows up once day each month they aren't too bad... so its probably difficult for them to be good when no one is there to clean them or teach them technique.

  • Too many solos in the guard for them to be up front. Too distracting for the band to be appreciated fully. The band is good but the sound can be a bit bigger given the size of the group and the fact that it is collegiate.
