Awww that's soo cute;)

It's weird how apple snails can sense food. I put bloodworms in my tank and my snails on the other side of the tank immediately knew about it and made a B-Line for them.

hey anyone can reply who has info on this. will the snail eat live plants? cause i have a live planted aquarium and i dont want my plants to die

@mGoLos Cool thanks for the helpful tips. I got the egg and put them in a plastic container with a damp paper towel inside. Lid with poked holes - and it's been floating for the past 3 days. Hopefully they'll hatch! =D
As for the fish, I don't think any of them will eat the lil snails. Got 2 Gourami's and 12 tetras, different types. =D

Aight, then mine are pretty healthy :) i'll put a video up of them soon. lol atm they are all cluttering together at the top, kind of odd. and one has been in it's shell since i got. it was alive when i bought idk what's wrong w/ it :(
My golden apple snail in my tank just laid a clump of eggs on the tank lid! Do you know how long it will take to hatch and how long it will take for them to get as big as the babies you got in the video?
Amazing footage btw! It's so awesome!

@boramyn Break off the eggs and place them on a piece of flamingo that you leave floating on the surface. This increases your chances. Otherwise just leave them alone, even if they don't succeed now, they next batch probably will. They'll breed until they leech out all the oxygen and ruin your water ... so be watchful. It'll take a about three weeks for the eggs to hatch. Get you temp at about 24 degrees if you can (I don't what fish you have though, so be careful with that)

Thanks - I believe it was dired food. Some sort of vegetable-rich tablets that would dissolve into a pile of material.

Man i honestly wish there was a way i could buy about 5 of these snails off you. Iv looked in pet stores but their shells are usually slightly cracked and discolored and sometimes algae on them. yours appear healthy and such. so if ur willing to sell em. im definatly willing to buy

The discolouring and the algea is perfectly normal, but if their shells are cracking the sellers water is most likely too acidic for them. They like it right in the middle, 7.0 :)
Honestly I wouldn't worry about it, just buy a couple and I'm sure they'll adjust marvelously to your tank, they usually do.
You can check their health by picking them up and out of the tank. They're supposed to close up fast and if they don't, they're either old or weak.
