You're awesome!

@dizzytrizzy07 You swapped the terms as if they were being added. If you have 2 - ab and did a "correct" swap, to see if subtraction is commutative, you should use: ab - 2. Also, try to use values that are different when you do a substitution. 2 - 2 swapped is still 2 - 2, so that is not a good example. Try a = 3 and b = 4.

I just want to thank you for your videos. I myself haven't played or exercised with algebra for like ten years and was worried that I forgot how to write it, but thanks to you and your videos I'm totally refreshed and more confident in my algebraic writing :)

Oh or is it the inverse property of addition?
Igsr0909 1 month ago
@Igsr0909 It would be, if it were written as: 2x + (–2x) = 0.

Hi, thank you for the video! But can this be an associative property, eventhought it has an =0x at the end? (2x+ -2x)=(2+ -2)x= Ox?

@Igsr0909 Actually, you typed an example of the Distributive Property. To use the Associative Property, there needs to be at least 3 terms on one side of an equation.
