Well, I disagree. In our form of government that is the only way change will take place, from within. Brian Moore, and I like him, recieved under 7,000 votes in 2008. It will take 600 years to win an election that way.

I believe that workers will organize into a economic government of labor despite the Marxist ministers preaching from various holy texts saying to do otherwise. Those in political government cannot deal in economic matters effectively like an economic government. We need an economic government and to elect delegates to plan the economy that serve the interests of society and where workers have a say. Workers have zero input and say under political nationalization of industries.

First of all, what gives you the right to say what Debs would've done? Secondly, how does DSA stand for wall street bureaucrats and bankers? We are all fighting the same battle, arguing about what Debs would've done, and trying to stereotype a large group of activists is pointless. You aren't a better socialist than anyone else. Lets work together. Democratic socialists stand for the proletariat, just like you. If you're just too hardcore for everyone else, fight you're own useless battle.

did you buy the computer that you are watching youtube on? Capitalism is a powerful force, and shouting idealistic slogans about not compromising is unrealistic and in all likelihood hypocritical. The DSA offers a way to pursue the same goals that all socialists seek in a realistic way. Would a revolution that makes America a functioning socialist state be great, yes. but it is clear that there isn't enough support and we should support those who work for realistic change. why be derisive?
