Inspired by CAS professor and former U.S. poet laureate Robert Pinsky's Favorite Poem Project in 1997, BU Today's Favorite Poem reading welcomed students, staff, and faculty to read their favorite poems in an open mic format on the stage of BU Central.

Co-sponsored by BU slam poetry group Speak For Yourself, the event also featured "cover" slam poetry, which was moderated by Adam Stone, the 1998 New England Forensic Interpreter of Poetry Champ, the 2000 Vermont Cover Slam Champion, and the 2000 National Dead Poets Slam winner.

  • Alfrunk, you need to shut the hell up.

That's all I'm going to say.

  • Don't know how a 64-year-old man can be a dike! What does surprise me is that your information on your channel says you are 49 years old. Your first (and now second) video was so flagrantly bigoted, I just assumed you were a high school student. Nope! You're just an old bigot.

  • Nice to know some YouTubers are so deep...and so observant! Without your keen insight, we might never have known that there was a waste of humanity being shown to unsuspecting viewers. I'll bet you were the only one that saw the little "Lesbian" medal. That is what tipped you off, isn't it? Thank you so much for your vigilence. I certainly would have missed it.
