And yet there are dozens of members on GTO forums that swap their scoop hoods with 04 owners for flat hoods.

In the rest of the world, they liked the cleaner lines without the hood scoops. I have liked mine both ways, but it attracts less attention without them.

@YellowCamaro85 yes they were ordered that way. you had to special order no hood scoops. 24 total 05 gtos with no hood scoops were produced

@nightmareZ2899 correct but there are a few...few 05s that slipped through the factory with the no scoop hood although they werent ordered that way they came off the line that way

yep the same result all the time.. I have a busted ass M5 and still gto's can't keep up, same goes for the ford lightnings..

of the less than 30 people who ordered 05's without hood scoops, im assuming they optioned them that way for the cleaner/sleeper look.

@sfuller442 yea fail on that one. the GTO came with NO Options Other than mt/at 17's or 18's and the SAP which is pretty rare to find. all 05's and 06's came with hood scoops regardless. 04's are the only ones without. they look kinda gay without the scoops so who would go through the trouble of getting a hood without them?

You definitely COULD order a 6.0 without hood scoops. It is a very rare option though.
