@BedBrain Incorrect. The official founders of metal was Black Sabbath as you probobly know, and they were originally inspired by the Punk genre, from whitch both the Emo and the Screamo genre was also inspiret of (accept Metal isn't a subgenre of Punk)

Screamo is not an offset of metal. Screamo evolved from hardcore punk. Screamo is not metal. They are two completely different genres. The Get Up Kids + The Sex Pistols = two completely different bands and genres.
