  • Modern day slavery it's what all the rich assholes want

  • I recommed the book Nickel and Dime. This is what the new slavery looks like.

  • Entrepreneurship people! And don't have kids until you're ready!

  • @ scrabbler27 500 pence in a year? That is very unBritish of you. Try saving that per month. I am making only $12.00 an hour and I guess that in pounds is roughly the same as you but I save better than what you saved in a year in even my bad month.

  • I am making a measly $12.00 an hour and I am pretty much having to eat out of soup kitchens to make ends meet. With the S&P500 having a bit of a correction, and with US non farm payroll data showing only 18000 jobs were added, while commodity prices continue to climb, I fear how soup kitchens are going to be able to be sustained.

  • 8hr day = $35.00

    - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @suckmylemon Yes but the cost of living in Canada is more.

  • I was asking if they know how to pay $1,200 rent when making $7.25

You say with over time? are you kidding? There is still bills to pay and food to buy...not even $10 is enough but a start

  • I work 5 pence above the minimum wage in the UK. I try my best to save money and thats what they need to do.

Instead of catching bus to work or drive, bike it to work on a bicycle. I know its bit of a pain especially in the Winter but throughout the year it have saved me £500. Try it!

  • You are an immigrant.
