Suzanne's Guitar

In August 2006, Suzanne Vega will become the first major recording artist to perform live in Second Life avatar form. This forms part of a larger project sponsored by 'The Infinite Mind' (public radio show), which has hired 'Infinite Vision Media' to create a permanent presence in Second Life.

I was commissioned by Infinite Visions to make the Guitar and animation for the Vega avatar (created by Munchflower Zaius).

However, I decided to use this opportunity to also make a short (3 minute) video.

This is Suzanne's Guitar...

* Music on the video is Prelude No.2 (V.Lobos), performed (well) by my good friend Steve Bean.

Suzanne Vega will perform in Second Life live on August 3.

I remember seeing this awhile ago and was amazed at the building. Kind of lie watching Bob Ross paint :-). How long does it actually take to build it in Real Time? Obviously you've done this before...lol. Very entertaining as well as educational. It would take me 3 minutes just to make the first cube...lol.

It's really cool but the guitar isn't practical, they way the interior of the body is designed wouldn't allow for the reverberation of the sound, you have walls in the center of the body, that would make for a very shallow soundy guitar, but im not saying that the whole production is bad, that was amazing!!!
