Especially considering the price one pays for being one... you are hated the world over, always have been, always will be. One re-enacts the Abrahamic sacrifice every time one raises one's child in this tradition, because you are raising them in a tradition that will be the cause of a lot of hate, envy, and may even be the cause of your death.
