Diablo 2 -Build 2 Concentrate barb

This is how to make a pvm/pvp (dont even try this pvp you will get raped and smiters will laugh) concentrate barb just follow the video only the skills are changed since teh last video not the gear.

The purpose of this setup is to maintain a high level of defense while having a high level of crushing blow and deadly strike - very imporant for any melee pvm build and not so imporant in a pvp build unless its deadly strike while the crushing blow gets nurfted. pvp builds are very are very different from pvm characters so lets cover our bases here we go:
(all classes not just talking barbs here some general rules to follow)

pvm vs pvp whooa with general melee (not talking about smiters ok)

A good pvp example of a ww barb has a few different sub-setups that need to be noted one is the grief/beast setup use zerk or pb your choice, usually mb grief/ss barbs use pb because they already need the dex for equipment and or they are lazy. zerk barbs usually go for high damage high hp and almost no % block.
a standard pvp melee setup for just about any melee class is 37 3/20/20 small charms "fine small charms of vita" + 1 torch + 1 annie very expensive about 300-400 usd worth of gear just for invintory. -not pvm lol

basic general rules for gear:

rare helm with following mods
2 class skill wtf is your class
1-99% attack raiting on level
(if barb helm ww or bo +3)
if just a cirlet then this mod cannot spawn
2 sockets
fhr
res
life
anything else is just great

armor: very good choices for melee armor
zbug shaft + ber or 40/15 jewel
Enigma of Duress
Fortitude of Stone
Fortitude of Chains
stone
zbug fortitude
Duress -cheep and effective

belts bla ;
dungos or any rare belt with fhr hp str res ect
there are still pre patch 1.07 belts that have +1 skill dr just like dungos but extreamly rare so dont count on trading for one.

weapons:
ebotd zerk - ok unless your going for high ds build they they are awesome if you have low ds your going to die
grief in pb or zerk rapes period
grief of doom - cannot put into words
death great ds wep
rare 2x upped eth pb 450+ ed ias ar on level / max damage on level is nice + sockets

shields well a few:
phoenix monarch
ss
rare eth shield 2 class skill faster block rate / increased blocking + sockets + res + hp + str + eth + repair dur mod is ideal

gloves:
20 ias
str
res
hp
10% crushing blow
15 dex
15 str
restance

boots:
goreriders
sandstrom
waterwalks
hotspers
rare 2x upped:
30 frw 40/35+/35+ tri res + fhr + str + hp

amulet
maras
highlords
rare
2class skill / 20 fcr / 30 str + dex res hp
angelic set (2 rings / amulet for huge ar)

that is just the tip of the ice burg for pvp......

2 handed weap conc barb would be much better for more damage output since they have low ias. A 1 handed weap concer would suck no offense to this video or anything but barbs rely on good amounts of damage from weapon to kill enemies because the skills do not provide much dmg for barbs. Its just a good point that's all.

@MISTofDAN blocking is very more important then damage and here is an easy way to prove this theory:

have one barb use a eth warpike ebotd + full setup and another use eth zerk botd + ss/max block

now have them attack once then the other attack once, continue until one dies, the one who can block will easily win the duel. same for pvm and saves a ton of hp and adds dr/defense

why do guides always show completely finished character with ohmygawd items instead of actually being A REAL guide on how to get through the game with it, what sort of items to keep and how to distribute stats and skill points through levels

what speaks against an ettin axe and for a berserker axe? im wonderin.. cause everyone has berserker axes for those runewords.. is it only the higher range?

@2ndsB4 the range 3 yards damage is higher and does not require so much dex and can be up to 6 socket vs ettin axe's 5

With those items even a melee Necro can do Hell.

This build has a potential of extremely goog crowd control with the combination of Howl/Taunt. 22K is not bad. Paladins can do 72K with charge. Both are overkill in single player mode.

my barbarian is level 80. concentrate/berserk/ww. i use fortitude, howltusk (arreats for pvp) 1 angelic ring and ammy 1 ravenfrost, perfect phoenix, perfect greif colossus blade, eth breath of the dying and SS for my switch. i do 14-19K damage with concentrate with phoenix greif and 9-11K with my SS and ebotdcb.

@Unguidedone In pvp of course you need a shield 75% block 50% dr setup in that case. But pvm its not big deal at all. If you consider doing 8 pp games you need tons of raw damage and massive cb to kill monsters fast in that case. Example of gear for 8 pp pvm'ing would be guillis, hlords, ebotdgp, edeath decap, etc. Damage is the only way you would kill such monsters fast and effectly. Just get a eth reapers merc, get good ll, and mass damage and you are all set.

Whats open wounds good on a weapon u dont swing? And no point in WW? Its best for fast killin minions instead of hittin them one after another. Death is good but Grief in pb is No.1 And CoA... Best melee helmet is Guilly with 35%cb 15 deadly strike FHR just for 27%BP and str socket with um. Conc barb is defensive enough with storm dont need dr from CoA and belt verdungo? Upped String of Ears far better with 8%life leach and 15%DR. Verdungo is good on berserk where u dont use leech.
