@celeriacmarcus - they get sold as cherimoya's here sometimes, tho i haven't seen any on sale for many years. same description yep. i fond the seeds unobtrusive though, they're easy to get out and-or eat around.

Are you sure it's cherimoya? I had that once and it cost me $8. The taste is like pears but a lot of black seeds which is a little annoying.
-
sugar apple ?! come on find a specific name

sometimes called cherimoya also. love these, i grew plants from the seeds, but the -horticultural college- (i kid you not) that i left them with over the holidays managed to kill them, when i'd had them outside in england doing fine with no special care or attention than any other plant...

The camera or the fruit? The fruit is called Sugar Apple. It tastes mushily sweet. The shell texture is rough but the fruit is soft and can be easily smeared by its pattern when ripe. They grow in South America and Southeast Asia in the low plan area. I ate them in Laos eons ago and I think they called it khie.
For the camera, it is an old vx1000.
