Whats going to happen all over the country is that physicians and their offices will really be incentivized through the new stimulus bill to apply an outpatient electronic medical record, to have their patients histories available no matter where that patient is cared for, to be able to order medications electronically, send that information to the pharmacy, reduce lots of risk there, have the patients history known so the patient doesnt have to give the same information over and over again in different care sites, and the same will be true in-patient, therell be standardized order sets, therell be again the ability to make sure patients have had necessary testing without repeating tests because you just cant find the medical information you need: thats something I think we really need to be a part of.
