  • Was this taken on the Sunday? The commentator didn't say a word during the re-enactment that I saw on the Saturday. Very nice footage.

  • Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, this took place on Sunday afternoon. A great effort from the reenactors. I hope its not too long before we get another Spanhoe event!

  • Nice one! From your camera angle I reckon I was standing about ten feet to your right!

  • Small world. Great show these guys did.

I hope they do another Spanhoe/Deenethorpe event very soon.

  • superbly done, very enjoyable to watch.

  • Thanks mate, we got lucky with the weather, and the reenactors were just brilliant. Really professional.

  • @tigeracew yeah cause you fags didnt join the war...

  • Little kids please stfu?

  • No explosions?

  • Bang bang your dead boys toys lol

  • Is this the 9th SS?

  • @SzugyiHill Hi, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It was a great day wasnt it? The C-47 was really impressive with the P-51 doing some great station-keeping. I hope they run this event again! Best wishes to you.

  • Apparently, some Germans do - we also have reenactment groups, though not as many and none of them with any Waffen-SS units (because their symbols are banned in Germany and it's just a BIT distastful to dress up like a SS-man). But there are also Germans in the US and UK who even dress up as Waffen-SS...

  • I wonder if it is possible to join reenactent groups if you live in a different country?

Sweden have extremly few (and SMALL) reenactment groups ( most are actually Softairgun groups).

Would love to join a large british group.

Nice job here but I agree on the lack of urgency.

I also wonder if they are portraiting a specific date during OP Market Garden.

Tigers and StuGs were from Heer units and arrived later in the battle for the Arnhem bridge.

  • nice array of vehicles, StuG and Tiger! very well done
