Gram Parsons, Linda Ronstadt, and The Troubadour nightclub all play a role in the rise of LA country-rock in the late '60s and early '70s. From the BBC documentary, "Hotel California: From The Byrds To The Eagles." To read more about country-rock, please visit www.adioslounge.com.

  • Thanks! This appears to be an excerpt - can you tell us what is it, or where to see more of it?

  • @MeredithBixby It's a 2007 BBC documentary called, "Hotel California: From The Byrds To The Eagles." Unfortunately, I don't think it's commercially available, but it never hurts to search the Googles.

  • "I hate the fuckin' Eagles, man!"

  • @rrphelps get real. anyone who knows anything about gram parsons knows he would have never admitted being jealous to anyone. Even if he may have been. get in the real world and stop making shit up.

  • @rrphelps come on man gram was far from jealous of the eagles.Gram was doing the eagles sound way before the eagles cut their first album.top of that gram was a true southerner from Dixie. His country was the real deal. I like the eagles but like dwight yokam, emmylou harris, marty stuart all have said gram was and is the starting point for country rock. the eagles and their califorina rock just dont cut it as country. its good for what it is but its not country just cause it has a banjo n it
