The song is "Fire on High" by Electric Light Orchestra. The song is modified in length for the ride and has a slight change in it with the rocket type sound inserted.

anybody who tells you they are the "main operator" lied to you.. Astrosphere operators are all the same as any other park ride operator, some of them however like to "think" they are better and higher than everyone else..

they use to use devil like projection faces that would scare me to death...use to have to close my eyes or I would have bad nightmares back in the early 1980's... they used the same song back then..ELO - Fire On High ...perfect for the ride!!...so great that they never changed it!!...pretty unbelievable actually...imagine that they might have pur Tiesto or something by now... thank u funtown for not!!! lol... funtown needs a bit of Six Flags character and my family might consider moving back!

I love this ride. This is the best ride there. :) I live near Bangor so we have to deal with a 2 hour trip but this ride is just the best and so worth it. We go to Funtown every year, we'll be there on August 14th! :D

You guys are lucky to have that ride. See, The amusement park near my city had a clone ride called the Gyrosphere. The park removed it a few years ago, and put in a crappy new ride. Things haven't been the same since. :(

dude I LOVE this ride!!!!! It's like the BEST!!! In my opinion, and also in my opinion it beats the Excalibar (sp) and Dragon's Descent
