Gotta agree that he accent most definately DOES count.

Maybe it's cause I have severa Asperger's Syndrome, and I'm open minded and no Xenophobic like many in my nation, but I simply love & adore most veriations of the English accent. I'm not like boarderline AngloPhile, if you all will.

You have a very laid-back and genuine quality that comes across beautifully. You are correct about strong American accents (I'm American). Most of our sex symbols don't have them and that's not a coincidence. A Bronx accent is great for character, but ot a turn-on. I think the reason people react so negatively to Keira Knightley's voice isn't her accent. I think it's the nails on chalkboard quality her high pitch can produce.

I think the type of accent is attractive or detracting, depending on each person; ie. beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

btw, your Scottish accent did NOT sound manly, but I know why you say that. I think I sound manly when I speak with a Scottish accent as well. I think Keira comes off to a lot of American's as snooty, because her accent isn't as relaxed as some other accents.
