  • The body is a Century product. You can buy it at Century Heli. I am sure you find it at Ebay too, if you surch for Centery Bell 222.

  • I've been flying 3D with the R50 Titan for some time now and just started building my first scaler in the Century Bell 222 (blue version). I drilled the holes in the bottom and mounted the frame (empty for now) to see how far I have to cut out the tail because it doesn't seem to be correct in the book. How far did you cut it out?

btw : That's some really nice flying! Not seen many scaler that can also fly so well.

  • The R50 Titan has a longer tailboom than the V2. Get a V2 boom, and it will fit.

I had to sand the bottom wooden rails a little bit, to get the tailboom centered in the scaleboom.

If you go to Runryder, and surch for Bjarte, you can look in my gallery to see what modifications i did with the tail gear-box. You have to cut off a little bit where the tailfin-screws will go in. I will take some pics of the cut-out that i did on the scale gearbox. Maybe i could email them to you.

  • man!! you are an excellent pilot!!! great flying!! i don't think people realize how hard it is to fly one of these but you did a freaking awesome job!! where is this filmed!!!

  • It is filmed in the west part of Norway.

  • I just finished installing my century Hawk pro 50 w/ hyper and scale muffler. I tried spooling up and my Funkey Bell 222 started wobbling severely on the ground. I was to scared to increase throttle so I backed off the throttle. I thought she was going to tip over and strike blade. what are you doing to prevent this. how is your mech secured? what is your pitch setting? Are you running more lean compared to Pod and Boom?

  • I had some problems getting the wobbling away. I tried to put on shorter blades (550mm). Then I tried to loosen the blades a little bit, that helped a lot. It woobbles at spool-up, but when the blades gets up more speed, the wobbling dissapears.

The mech is secured 4 screws trough the belly, and up in the rails.

My pitch setting is -4 to +9.

The engine gets hotter inside a body, so this means that you have to richen it a little bit.

Keep me informed about how how things works out.

  • excellent video I really liked the pilot's flight expected to see something like that and I found it!!

  • Hi, where i buy this model in Ebay? do you know? or other site...., I live in Brazil, tanks friend

  • Excellent model, very good pilot indeed, very few can understand that it is very hard to fly these babies so steady - "scale" style.

  • I took out the main shaft and found a slight bend. shaft only wobbles 1mm. Maybe that was it. I didn't notice it at first. I ordered couple new main shaft. should be in after New Year. I'll let you know what happens. thanks for responding so quickly. Most helpful.
