get a regular malibu remove the rear seat and spare tire to save weight and you get higher mileage than the highbrid version

The malibu hybrid is nicer looking than most hybrids, but 2 mpg better than the regular 4 cylinder is pretty pathetic.

mild hybrids as of now is just lip service... 2 mpg for an extra $2,000 - that just makes people feel better because they have the word hybrid slapped on the car - what a joke
now when the plug in hybrids hit the road... now were talking.

if you get the new 09 version of the 6 speed, it gets the same gas milliage and is only an 500 dollar option
