i like this version which i never heard before. it is interesting. different from judy collins or l. cohen but it has its own personality. i don't think k.d. sounds tired especially as the song goes on you hear how strong her voice is. but i think she is choosing to sing certain parts more low for the interpretation. if that makes any sense.

Really? Leonard Cohen didn't write this song? Who did? Now I'm curious.

That would be interesting if Judy and KD were related. BTW, there's a 22 year age difference between them. Judy was born in 1939 and KD was born in 1961.

@greasemonkey1228 K.D may have been a cousin to Judy Collins. They once lived in a small community at the same time. Most in the community were cousins, most French, some French/aboriginal dna. There would be a difference of about ten to fifteen years between both singers. KD had permission from the composer of Bird on a Wire which had been released thru Cohen to hid the id of the composer...rite?
