  • "SHE'S GOT A FUCKING SMILE ON HER FACE"

  • One of the best moments of the series

  • You gotta love people like livia... their only pleasure in life is making other people miserable. She's the ultimate troll.

  • Tony has the "Clooney Syndrome"...

  • Hahahaha I can't believe this JRilla fella is still commenting on sopranos videos. Lmao I remember he was making the same ridiculous retarded comments typed in all caps years and years ago. Apparently he still hasn't gotten the he desperately needs. LOL can you say fucked up

  • there are different levels of being a psychopath, i suppose. but tony HAS real feelings, he's not just imitating all of them. for example when livia dies, we see him crying in front of the tv, watching the public enemy. we can feel his need for a real mother, for real love.

  • @fromis111 I would say by definition, Tony is more of a sociopath than pyschopath. Sociopaths absolutely can feel attachments to loved ones and still detach themselves from their own morales to commit violent acts. It's one of the main themes in season 6 and why Dr. Melfi chose to finally break off their sessions.

  • @fromis111 (...okay granted the last example doesn't constitute a private expression of emotion. But it is an instance where he goes out of his way to help someone he does not have to help and does not benefit from helping)

  • @theporksicle I posted 2 messages last night and I think you may have missed this one: "He displays genuine emotion throughout the show, *not* just in front of other people. E.g. we have access, through his dreams and memories, to his guilt about killing Pussy. We see his anger surrounding Jackie Jr.'s death and how it spurs his fears about AJ's future. We see him go out of his way to help his uncle when he has cancer-- the same uncle, mind you, who tried to kill him!"

  • @fromis111

Yes, but that assumes his purported love for his children and family is genuine, psychopaths can imitate such feelings when it suits them (e.g. when they are manipulating a therapist). I agree, he is appealing because he is a complex character, but I still think his complexity is a carefully put together illusion designed to mask his true simplistic nature.
