A 744 seems like an awful lot of airplane for such a short flight. I wonder why they don't use their 773's.

@JJJardina It also depends on the weight of the airplane. As far as I know, climb rate of B747 is almost twice the climb rate of A346, indicates that B747 requires less velocity to take-off than A346 because of the wing design. That can be a factor why A346 requires longer runway to take-off than B747.

@JJJardina I don't think so. Even with their Trent 500 engines, they can't get off the ground in less than 30 secs. While B747 can lift off in less than 20 secs. I've watched almost every A346 take-offs and they take average of 40 seconds.
