My second video critique features a photograph of a beautiful forest on a foggy day, with a clean, coherent composition. But image that was a bit underexposed to begin with, and then darkened further in processing. Here in Part 2 I demonstrate how I re-processed the photo to lighten it and adjust the white balance. In Part 1 I discuss some of the possible reasons for this, as well as the light, composition, and technical aspects of the image.

  • Thanks, very interesting. I like that you show a range of possible settings so we can see options that we may think are better (you may think worse...). Since the image was soft, I wish you would have worked on sharpening to show us how far one can go to add some crispness back to the image. Maybe a part 3?
