All-Americans Win Season's Final Game (7/30/09)

In their final game of the season, the Lowell All-Americans defeated the New Bedford Bay Sox by a score of 7-5 on July 30th, 2009 at Stoklosa Alumni Field in Lowell, MA. Here are the scoring highlights:

1st Inning: Oxford singles up the middle; Gustafson doubles to left (Oxford scores); Valdez singles to left (Gustafson scores).

4th Inning: Valdez singles up the middle; Valdez steals 2nd; Elliott singles to center field (Valdez scores); Elliott advances to 2nd and then 3rd on a throwing error; Palmer reaches on an error by the left-fielder (Elliott scores, Palmer to 2nd); Palmer advances to 3rd on a foul out; Miller singles to the pitcher (Palmer scores).

5th Inning: Valdez singles to center; Elliott singles to left; Volpicelli singles to center (Valdez scores).

7th Inning: Valdez doubles to deep center field; Elliott triples to right field (Valdez scores).

Greg Nappo: 5 innings pitched, 4 hits, 4 walks, 1 run, 6 strikeouts, and the win.
