To conquer something means that it no longer controls you or your life. I does not mean not to ever do it, it just means that the obsessions no longer controls your though and your actions or you life an your will. If you personal have to abstain in order to do that then that is what you have to do but to expect other to need or have to live up to the same ideal is ludicrous. Guruka Singh nailed this one and described it better than any other explanation I ever heard. Thank You for your insight.

Guruka singh talks all experience, but his approach is rather of a humble sikh who is humbler to his flaws and not critical of it

One has to get frivolous enjoyments out of their consciousness. That is where 'ghaalna' comes in. What is the best age for marriage? Is dating multiple partners right? Can a women date many men? Can a man date many women? Next set of questions would probably get more specific like views on pedophila, polygamy, preconsciousity- one night stands, dating, homosexuality, divorce and marriage, contraception, abortion, music sexual lyrics e.g. 50 cent, teenage puberty, flirting, checking out opposite gender, masturbation. Different sikhs have different views and many would differ however when everyone sits in gurdwara automatically we all know there is a certain discpline and way to act normally the rehat is one then.
