Scarborough Spa

This video was taken during the first of our big tides of the year,first down on the beach where we see a few surfers braving the cold,then on to the Spa complex to watch a few of the waves hitting the sea wall,and finishing off along foreshore road,these big sea's are better when there is a strong north easterly wind blowing,which should be happening around spring time.

thanks for sharing, i love scarborough been a few times this year already, i'd love to be around to watch scenes like this.

Besides the freezing cold winter and early spring. what is the other best time of year for the tide to come fully up?

@alisonmanic Thanks for that lovely comment,Scarborough is a great place to live,even in winter it can be fun.The answer to your question about the tides,the next big tide will be on the 9th September the hight of water should be 6.08 mtr.that does not meen much, it all depends on which direction the wind is coming from,if it is from the north east that should rev the sea up a bit..........John

@johnwood57 i am in scarborough overnight. This afternoon/evening's tide was crazy! I hope my camera does it justice when i upload. I got pretty soggy a couple of times XD

Yep you sure are right on that issue Bob,it is always the tourists that are doing that sort of thing,they want to come and see it when there is a hooley of a gale blowing,they will think twice. LOL.........John

Well done for capturing the North sea at High tide John, it did disturb me a little though seeing those youngsters with that child at South Bay..how stupid some people can be....5* Bob
