I am forever amazed at how we American citizens sit with a hollow skull and wait for those who have done little or no homework to tell us how to dig out of a mess that our apathy created in the first place. Off-shore drilling will merely extend the oil dynasty for a few more decades. Let's let our kid's kids figure it out, huh! They'll love us for our forethought.

Its interesting to see how MCcain tends to OMIT facts. He makes it seem that if we drill right now gas prices would go down. Fact is it would take close to 10yrs before any oil from off shore drilling would see a gas pump thats 2018. Not to mention the cost of doing all of this would be billions if not trillions. Instead of really pouring all that effort into developing EV vehicles that need no gas. ohhh thats right the auto and oil industry along with Bush put a stop to that.

And the republicans are not running around scaring everyone about the war on terror, and I might add used the scare of WMD's as a way to enter Iraq. However the difference between the green activists and republicans are the environmentalists actually have evidence to support their claims, which some how is overlooked. The NSIDC just published a report that states that polar ice has melted 4.2 million sq km in 2008 from 7.8 million sq km in 1980. And polar bears have nothing to worry about.

Funny how it was Mr. Bush's father George H. Walker Bush the one that signed a presidential executive order in 1990 banning coastal oil exploration, and his brother Jeb was always against offshore drilling when he was governor of Florida.

So its not only McBush Vs Obama. Its McBush vs (Obama + Bushs Daddy + Jeb Bush)

Must hurt to be McBush OUCH!

This is just fine. If a state wants to drill, it should be up to them. If a state soesn't want to, they shouldn't have to. The fed gov has way to much control over the states right now. The enviromentalist are running the world right now and scaring everyone into thinking like them. Polar Bears are not endangered, but they swung it so they could be on the list. All to stop oil exploration. It's sice, and frustrating to people who have done research and can think for themselves.
